17 July 2019 @ 12:23 am

Following the example of several friends, I've locked down about 90% of this journal and most entries from now on will be friends only. However, I'm quite friendly and rather enjoy meeting new people, so go right ahead and add me, just leave a quick note here first.

I started this as a joke for a friend of mine, and it took on a life of its own. I now have all of Act One of Chess in Concert in comicbook stick-figure form. Oh yes.

Opening!/The Story of Chess )

Merano/What a Scene )

Commie Newspapers/Press Conference )

Molokov & Anatoly/Where I Want to Be )

Difficult and Dangerous Times/The Arbiter )

Hymn to Chess/The Merchandisers/The Arbiter (Reprise) and Quartet )

Florence & Molokov/Nobody's Side )

Mountain Duet/Florence Quits )

Pity the Child/Embassy Lament )

So that's that. Part two is coming eventually, I promise.

I am usually quite vocal about my dislike for Nelly Furtado (she sounds like Rosie Perez auditioning for American Idol IMO) but she's not so nasal in this one, and plus, Groban sounds like a GOD OF SEX as usual. Fodder for my radio show? Yes please. I'll link you all up to the webcast once I get started... exciting stuff.

Off to the gym now, later loves.

Our remedies oft in ourselves do lie
Which we ascribe to heaven: the fated sky
Gives us free scope, only doth backward pull
Our slow designs when we ourselves are dull.
What power is it which mounts my love so high?
That makes me see, and cannot feed mine eye?
The mightiest space in fortune nature brings
To join like likes and kiss like native things.
Impossible be strange attempts to those
That weigh their pains in sense and do suppose
What hath been cannot be: who ever strove
So show her merit, that did miss her love?
The king's disease--my project may deceive me,
But my intents are fix'd and will not leave me.

Stolen from [info]xjustadoreher because, let's face it, I'm an enormous fangirl.

Rules:
01. Compose a list of YOUR top ten (or however many) famous people to crush on.
02. Collect one picture of each person.
03. Post them in your journal, #10 to #1.
04. Do the same if you'd like. Whatever.

OMG YOU GUYS )

Hi! So pretty much everything you need to know about me is explained in my user info, but the short version of my story is this:

You probably know me as either [info]comicalcrisis or [info]fanatic6 but ever since I became completely deprived of reason on both of them, I don't really feel comfortable using either.

My real name is Briana, and if you're reading this you probably already know me which is why I have no problem giving you my real name.

I probably won't post much, but I'm sure I'll at least be around, so drop me a line.
